“Five years ago, my boss said, ‘It’s time for you to get out there.’ Now, we’re handing in checks, raising awareness, and making a positive difference in the communities in which we live and serve.” Censky adds, “It feels great that we’re engaged at such a meaningful level and have successfully taken the philanthropic passion passed down from our Founders (at HSL) and spread it like it wildfire to our development and construction teams.”

In addition to its philanthropic work, HSL makes sure to align its construction processes and community involvement with the needs of its residents. By offering residents the tools to make their homes more secure through customizable smart- home technology, the company ensures that each one feels a sense of control over their living environment.

“Giving our residents that feeling of security is why we’ve been relevant, staying at the top of our market in our little world here in Tucson for so long,” Censky says.
